Bio
Ashton Raduns grew up in Western New York. She graduated from the University at Buffalo’s (UB) traditional Bachelor of Science Nursing program in 2008. Her first nursing job was at ECMC on a medical-surgical unit. She then transitioned to an outpatient setting working for a foster care agency, where she ran a psychotropic medication clinic for underserved children.
Ashton returned to UB to obtain her Adult Nurse Practitioner degree. During her time at UB, she worked as a teaching assistant in the School of Nursing. Since becoming an Adult Nurse Practitioner in 2013, Ashton has worked in primary care, long-term care, and rehab.
Ashton began her academic career at BOCES in 2010 in their LPN program, where she gained experience with clinical, lab/simulation, classroom teaching, and concept maps. She joined the RN-BSN team at Brockport in the spring of 2019 as full-time faculty. She has been adjunct faculty for both UB and Genesee Community College.
Ashton completed her DNP at UB in 2024. She has a passion for teaching pharmacology and involvement in curriculum work. She is the AACN champion for Brockport’s School of Nursing. She lives with her husband and two girls; they enjoy camping and going for bike rides.
