Bio

Dr. Ashton Raduns is a Western New York native who earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University at Buffalo (UB) in 2008. She began her nursing career at Erie County Medical Center (ECMC), working on a medical-surgical unit before transitioning to an outpatient setting with a foster care agency, where she managed a psychotropic medication clinic serving underserved children.

Driven by a commitment to advancing her clinical expertise, Dr. Raduns returned to UB to earn her Adult Nurse Practitioner degree. While completing her graduate studies, she served as a teaching assistant in the School of Nursing. Since becoming an Adult Nurse Practitioner in 2013, she has gained extensive experience in primary care, long-term care, and rehabilitation settings. She currently practices in acute rehabilitation, providing patient care and facilitating successful transitions from inpatient care to home. She continues to work per diem as an ANP in an acute rehab setting. 

Dr. Raduns began her academic career in 2010 as an instructor in a BOCES Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program. In this role, she developed expertise in clinical instruction, laboratory and simulation education, classroom teaching, and concept-based learning. In 2019, she joined the RN-to-BSN program at SUNY Brockport as a full-time faculty member. She has also served as adjunct faculty at both the University at Buffalo and Genesee Community College.

In 2024, Dr. Raduns earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the University at Buffalo. Her professional interests include pharmacology education and curriculum development. She currently serves as the AACN Champion for SUNY Brockport’s School of Nursing. In May 2026, Dr. Raduns assumed the role of Director of the Master of Science in Nursing Education program at SUNY Brockport.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Dr. Raduns enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters. As a family, they enjoy camping and cycling together.
