Quick steps:
If you are concerned about the well-being of a student and/or the safety of the campus community:
- For immediate concerns: call University Police at (585) 395-2222.
- For non-emergencies, file a report with the Student Behavioral Consultant Team (SBCT)
We all play a part in keeping our campus safe.
Faculty and staff may be the first to notice that a student is showing signs of distress. Students may feel more comfortable talking about their struggles to a faculty or staff person they feel they have a relationship with. Students may not know where to go for assistance.
The purpose of this folder is to help faculty and staff recognize signs of distress and identify appropriate campus resources to refer students to. Keep in mind that students exhibiting concerning behaviors are likely having difficulties in other aspects of their lives.
