From Awareness to Action: The Inner Work of Social Change

Room: 209 - Effective leadership begins with understanding how the mind shapes perception, decision-making, and relationships. This experiential session explores the neuroscience of negativity bias—the brain’s natural tendency to focus on threat—and examines how this survival mechanism can unintentionally limit collaboration and social change efforts today.

Drawing on current brain science, the workshop introduces neural training as a practical leadership skill, highlighting how awareness, attention, and intention can be developed to support more thoughtful and values-aligned action. Through a blend of brief content and interactive experiences, participants explore how inner awareness translates into collective impact, and why the inner work of leadership is essential for lasting social change.
