Mission Statement

Scholarship, Research, and Sponsored Programs is an experienced team that provides comprehensive management support of the University’s external and internal funding portfolio, strengthening its educational, research and public service mission. 

Services

We provide a wide range of support services to enable members of the SUNY Brockport community to meet their academic and professional goals including: 

  • Connect funding opportunities to appropriate individuals, departments, or teams
  • Proposal-planning assistance, budget development and submission
  • Institutional review board oversight and compliance
  • Patent and technology development
  • Full-service post-award management and compliance
  • Scholars Day coordination and annual hosting

Department Goals

  • Maintain and improve efficiencies through continuous evaluation and assessment of processes, procedures, and tasks. 
  • Enhance the University’s Strategic Plan by promoting scholarship, research, and external funding to build the campus’ portfolio, providing experiential learning opportunities for students, and augmenting faculty and staff satisfaction. 
  • Increase campus visibility by collaborating with other educational institutions, organizations, agencies, and businesses.
