The Archives are Now Searchable Online

The Rose Archives at Drake Library has completed a project to create online, searchable Finding Aids that describe the University Archives physical and digital collections.

Over the last 18 months, Visiting Archivist, Lynn Kinsman, has transformed what was a 40-page Word document containing alphabetical subject headings into 27 online Finding Aids that meet today’s archival standards and best practices. Each Record Group within the University Archives collection has its own Finding Aid on the EmpireADC.org website. They are keyword-searchable and discoverable through an internet search and standard search engines for researchers such as the Drake Library catalog, WorldCat, and ArchiveGrid.
