Eligibility
- Applicants must be an approved “Content Expert” currently supporting the Living Learning Communities (LLCs). A Content Expert is a faculty/staff member dedicated to supporting a specific LLC. The Content Expert helps design and implement engagement experiences for the students, with a goal of increasing the students’ sense of belonging to an academic program and/or SUNY Brockport. To become a Content Expert you must be current Faculty/Staff at SUNY Brockport and be approved by the Assistant Director of Academic Initiatives and Living Learning Communities. - Collaborative proposals across departments (e.g., student affairs and psychology) are encouraged.
Funding
- Up to $5,000 to reimburse eligible expenses associated with an individual substantial scholarly project.
- This award can reimburse a wide range of expenses in support of defined scholarly/creative activities (same as the Faculty Scholarship Account) including:
- Registration and travel to academic conferences; Research (travel, assistants, software, documents, data, or supplies not available from other campus sources); Costs associated with peer-review publication (e.g. production of maps, rights to use images, etc.) or artistic performance/display.
- Unused funds expire one year after the date of award notification.
- A Post-Grant Summary must be submitted: Post Grant Summary Form. You will be ineligible to apply to any other Internal Grants until this is received.

Grant Components
Format: Margins 1” all around, 8 ½ * 11 paper, single spaced, font 11pt or larger, three (3) pages maximum.
Writing should be clear and concise, and understood by reviewers who are not specialists in your field.
