Departments are encouraged to cover parking cost for their guests, or they may park and pay at a meter or use the ParkMobile payment app. Day parking rate is $6. Departments may request to reserve a meter for $25/day. Events expecting 25 or more vehicles between the hours 9 am - 3 pm, Monday - Friday, may be required to park in lot X, D (Holley Street) or south of lot V (SERC). Permits are required Monday - Thursday until 7 pm, Friday until 5 pm.
Transportation Options
- Carpool: 511 NY Rideshare is a free online tool that helps match riders and drivers from similar areas traveling to the same destination - either for a regular carpool relationship or a single trip. If a regular ridesharing relationship is formed, consider applying for a Carpool Permit to access to premium parking spaces on campus. Included are five day passes per semester for those times when another car is needed.
- Public Transportation: The Rochester Genesee Regional Transportation Authority (RGRTA) offers an on-demand service to the Brockport area from the Rochester Tech Park. Visit RTS On Demand for schedules, maps, and fares. NYS Ride is a pre-tax benefit that helps NYS employees save money on public transportation costs.
- Biking and/or Walking: Consider walking or biking to campus - a great way to stay healthy and there are plenty of bike racks available. Call Campus Recreation Services for more information on the bike borrowing program.
- Motorist Assistance Program [MAP): Parking and Transportation Services offers free lock de-icing, jumpstarts, and tire inflation assistance to those parked on campus. Call 395-7275 during office hours for assistance.
