The Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion – OEDI – invites students, faculty, staff, and community members to attend the Interfaith Center Open House on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. in Cooper Hall, Mezzanine Level (2nd Floor). The event will provide an opportunity to learn more about the University’s Interfaith Center, connect with campus and community partners, and share ideas for future programming that fosters understanding, belonging, and engagement across faith, spiritual, and worldview traditions.
Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the space, participate in interactive activities, meet campus and community partners, and learn how the Interfaith Center will support meaningful dialogue and connection across diverse identities and perspectives.
Questions? Contact Dr. Lisa M. Thompson, Senior Staff Associate, Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, at lmthompson@brockport.edu.
All are welcome.
As we start off the month of June, take a look at the historical roots of Pride and Juneteenth and how you can celebrate.
April includes several important religious holidays: Passover (April 1–9), Good Friday (April 3), and Easter (April 5), each holding deep significance in Jewish and Christian traditions. Faculty are reminded to provide reasonable accommodations for students observing these holidays, including opportunities to make up missed work in accordance with university policy.
Updates on Ramadan: Ramadan, February 17, to March 2, 2026. Ramadan begins on February 7, 2026, and concludes on March 19, 2026, with Eid-ul-Fitr.
