Brockport Foundation Scholarships
Scholarships from the Brockport Foundation recognize students for their academic excellence, co-curricular activities, and professional promise. The nearly 350 donor-created scholarships available through the Brockport Foundation recognize students in each of the three academic schools as well as participants in related programs and in many student activities.
In addition to Foundation Scholarships, the School of Business and Management nominates students for awards and scholarships sponsored by professional organizations such as:
- The New York State Society of CPAs
- The Financial Executives Institute
- Turnaround Management Association
Heroes for the Common Good Scholarship
The School of Business and Management has joined forces with Causewave Community Partners to award a $6,000 scholarship to incoming or new students in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) or Nonprofit Management (Graduate Certificate) programs for the 2024-25 academic year.

Scholarship Overview
- Eligible applicants will be considered for this scholarship based on their acceptance into the MPA or Nonprofit Management (Graduate Certificate) programs after completing the multi-step application.
- Recipients must work in the nonprofit sector in the Greater Rochester area when admitted to the program in Fall 2024/at the time of scholarship disbursement.
- Scholarship recipients will be selected by a scholarship committee of admissions professionals and faculty of the School of Business and Management.
- The scholarship will be applied to the recipient’s student account and will not be received in cash. The recipient will be responsible for any remaining balance due to the University.
- Recipients must be enrolled in the program for the 2024-25 academic year to receive the benefit. The scholarship will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters unless authorized by the Foundation Scholarship Office.

Heroes Monthly Cash Award
Working to make this a better world is the mission of people who work for our local area nonprofits. You make an impact by going to work each day, knowing that what you do helps so many. We’d like to recognize you for the passion you bring to your job every day.
The monthly Heroes For the Common Good Award will be given to a person working at a Greater Rochester area nonprofit. The SUNY Brockport School of Business and Management staff members will select each winner. The recipient will receive a certificate and a check for $500.
How you qualify:
- You or someone you know fills out the nomination form (you may self-nominate).
- You must have worked in a recognized nonprofit for at least one year.
- Increase your chance of being selected by uploading an endorsement letter from your supervisor or a co-worker.
- Each month, one person will be selected to receive the $500 stipend that is made out to the winner to reward them for the work they do.
