Many critics worry that intervention in politics by business interests threatens democratic values. Professor Young presented on how business intervention can serve as an important check on some of the pathologies of unconstrained democracy. His talk focused on how business interests have an important and underappreciated role to play in guiding democracies toward good outcomes.
